Finding Community Among the Wreckage

There is nothing new about neighbors helping neighbors - people have worked together to survive for all of human history. 

Since the devastation that Hurricane Helene wrought on Western NC,  there is a different narrative emerging from these small, isolated mountain hollows:  these deep community ties might just be the future of disaster relief.

​This documentary has been in production since October 2024, and is following a small community of people in Burnsville NC known as Bee Log as they work to rebuild what was lost, and reimagine a different kind of future together.
